IT SHOULD COME as no surprise that I get really excited when I have visitors. For one, because having visitors is just simply fun (hello sleepovers!). But the real reason I love visitors is because I get to show off my “hometown”. Okay, perhaps it’s not so much my hometown as it is my “current city” (terminology we can thank Facebook for).
I am obsessed with Vancouver and every time someone visits I know I can take them off the roster of people in my life who guilt me with questions like “so when are you moving back to Toronto?” By the end of their stay they just get it.
Last week one of my good friends from university was visiting and I gave him a pretty good taste of Vancouver (I think). From Granville Island to the Art Gallery to a night spent drinking on the beach I unveiled what life is like in this fine city – a life I’m in no hurry to give up.
our my selfie scene was a bit out of control (3 may be a crowd but it’s much better for getting a good photo) I’ll spare you and just share some of my favourite shots.
And yes – I realize that most of these photos were actually from our trip to Seattle – but hey that’s one of the perks of living in Vancouver right?
